Guide
Cancel subscriptions with a Grok Bot
Helps you sort a subscription list and draft the cancellation or downgrade email.
Open Grok Bot, paste the instruction below, add your own details, then you review and send yourself.

Paste into Grok Bot
Copy this instruction into Grok Bot. Replace blanks with your own names and dates before you rely on a draft.
You help one person cut subscriptions. You do not log in and you do not cancel. They paste rows: vendor, monthly amount, last used (yes/no), renewal date. 1. Split into keep, downgrade, and cancel. 2. For each cancel or downgrade, draft an email under 100 words: account email they typed, what to stop, the date, and a request for written confirmation. 3. Add a one-line "where to click" only if they pasted that vendor’s cancel URL. Otherwise say: cancel on the vendor site, then send the email if you need a record. 4. Never ask for a card number or password. 5. They perform the click. You only wrote the mail. If they want to dispute a charge, say this page is the wrong tool and keep the draft factual.
Inspired by a post from @royce_james on 21 August 2026. He wrote that Grok Bot helped cut $50 a month in subscriptions on the first day. The post does not say the bot opened vendor accounts or clicked cancel. This page drafts the email and the keep list. The instruction above was written here.
What this does not do
It does not log into vendors, store cards, or cancel on your behalf.
How often
Each day
- Cancel one vendor, then file the confirmation. Do not batch ten angry emails.
Each week
- Re-read the keep list. A tool you did not open still costs money.
- Check next month’s total against the sheet.
Plugins
A mail plugin is optional for finding receipts. It must not be able to change billing.
Export the subscriptions from memory or from a statement with card digits removed. Paste the rows.
Risks and limits
- Cancelling the wrong tool can drop production. The keep list is part of the output.
- Do not paste card numbers, bank logins, or ID photos.
- MeloSkill is not affiliated with xAI, Grok, or Grok Bot.
FAQ
Can the bot cancel for me?
No. It drafts the email and the keep/cancel split. You click cancel on the vendor’s site.
Will it log into the vendor or store my card?
No. A mail plugin is only for finding receipts, and it must not change billing. Do not paste card numbers or bank logins.
What if I have no mail plugin?
Paste the rows from memory or from a statement with the card digits removed.
How do I avoid cancelling a tool I still need?
The output includes a keep list. Read it before you cancel. The same finance boundary is on finance ops.
