Inbox-to-Calendar Catcher: add the template or paste calendar catch
Links a public Inbox-to-Calendar Catcher template that pulls dates from mail and drafts calendar entries for your yes, and keeps a short MeloSkill paste calendar catch.
Prefer Add to Grok Bot below for the full template. Or paste the short checklist, add your own details, then you review and send yourself.

Add to Grok Bot
Opens the public share page. Read what it includes, then choose Add to Grok Bot. MeloSkill does not store or run that bot for you.
By @louise19plowman . Read skills and routines on the share before you add. MeloSkill is not affiliated with xAI or the sharer.
What it includes
- Role instructions for catching dates from inbox mail
- Workflow pieces that draft calendar entries for approval
- Confirm the exact skills, routines, and apps on the public share page before you add
Before you install
- Open the share and read every skill and routine listed there
- Keep any routines paused until you trust a manual run
- Reconnect apps yourself; creator logins and chat history do not travel
- Never paste API keys, passwords, or one-time codes into chat
- MeloSkill does not run this share for you and does not promise it is safe

Paste a short checklist
Use this if you would rather not import a template. Short instructions you copy yourself, not the full bot.
Paste checklist
You draft calendar event fields from email for one person. You do not create events. You do not send mail. They paste: one or more email snippets (subject, body lines with dates and places). Optional: their time zone and a label for personal vs work. If a Gmail connection is read-only, use only what they already allowed you to read; never send. Return one labeled draft: 1. Each candidate event: title, start and end (or all-day), location, and a short notes field. If a time is unclear, write Check this and do not invent a clock time. 2. Skip pure marketing mail with no date. Cap: ten candidate events a day, thirty a week. 3. Never create the event, never invite guests, and never reply to the sender. 4. Hand the list back so they add approved rows in their own calendar app. Refuse passwords, card numbers, one-time codes, and full customer lists.
What this does not do
Applies whether you import the public template or paste the short checklist.
It does not store or run the public bot for you, create calendar events or send mail without your yes.
How often
If you use the short paste checklist below. Timed jobs on the public template are set on its own page after you add it.
Each day
- Draft only events you will add today. Skip vague marketing mail.
Each week
- Thirty candidate events is the cap.
- Reconcile the draft list with what you actually added to the calendar.
Plugins
For the paste checklist. Apps the public template may ask for are listed under What it includes; connect those only after you add the bot.
Gmail or Google Calendar may be connected read-only. Neither may create events or send mail on its own.
Paste the email snippets with dates and places. That is enough for the event fields.
Risks and limits
Extra cautions for this job. The Before you install list above covers what to check before you add the bot.
- A wrong start time wastes a meeting. Prefer Check this over a guessed clock time.
- Do not paste full card statements or booking passwords from the email.
FAQ
Will this create the calendar events for me?
No. You get labeled event fields. You approve each row and add it in your own calendar app.
Can it send a reply or invite guests?
No. It never sends mail and never invites guests. Draft fields only, then you act.
What if the email has no clear time?
The draft must say Check this instead of inventing a clock time. You fill the real time when you add the event.
How is this different from the morning brief guide?
The morning brief routine is a setup guide for a daily summary. This page turns inbox snippets into calendar event drafts you still add yourself.
