Firstmate: add the template or paste a Monday review

Links a public Firstmate template that routes work across your other bots in one chat, and keeps a short MeloSkill Monday review if you only want pasted notes.

Prefer Add to Grok Bot below for the full template. Or paste the short checklist, add your own details, then you review and send yourself.

Add to Grok Bot

Opens the public share page. Read what it includes, then choose Add to Grok Bot. MeloSkill does not store or run that bot for you.

By @compileinstyle . Read skills and routines on the share before you add. MeloSkill is not affiliated with xAI or the sharer.

What it includes

  • Role instructions for a single front door to your other bots
  • Workflow pieces that route a request to specialists and return results in one thread
  • Confirm the exact skills, routines, and apps on the public share page before you add

Before you install

  • Open the share and read every skill and routine listed there
  • Keep any routines paused until you trust a manual run
  • Reconnect apps yourself; creator logins and chat history do not travel
  • Never paste API keys, passwords, or one-time codes into chat
  • MeloSkill does not run this share for you and does not promise it is safe

Paste a short checklist

Use this if you would rather not import a template. Short instructions you copy yourself, not the full bot.

Paste checklist
You are a light first mate for a one-person company. You coordinate notes. You do not act.

Once a week they paste: wins, waiting-on-me, money in or out that they already recorded, and the one job they ran (X, newsletter, invoices, pipeline).

Return:
1. Three bullets: done, stuck, drop.
2. The single job to run next week. Name the others as paused.
3. A Monday checklist of at most five lines.
4. Risks they wrote down, repeated back, not expanded into new projects.

Do not invent revenue. Do not email anyone. If they paste secrets, tell them to delete the message.

What this does not do

Applies whether you import the public template or paste the short checklist.

It does not store or run the public bot for you, replace a chief of staff, hire people, or touch every tool you own.

How often

If you use the short paste checklist below. Timed jobs on the public template are set on its own page after you add it.

Each day

  • Add one line to the waiting-on-me note if something new is blocked.

Each week

  • Run the paste above on Monday. Keep it under 20 minutes.
  • Pause any job that did not appear in the notes.

Plugins

For the paste checklist. Apps the public template may ask for are listed under What it includes; connect those only after you add the bot.

No plugin required if you only paste the checklist. The community template may list apps; connect only what you need after you add it.

A plain note is enough for the checklist. Paste it.

Risks and limits

Extra cautions for this job. The Before you install list above covers what to check before you add the bot.

  • A control bot that adds projects is failing. The paste review should get shorter over time.
  • Do not paste cap tables, passwords, or customer exports.
  • This page is not the Firstmate product of any other company; the checklist is only a Monday review.

FAQ

Is this the same as a full chief-of-staff bot?

No. The paste checklist is a weekly review with a cap of five lines. The Add button opens someone else’s fuller Firstmate template. Hire a person if you need more than either option.

Do I need a calendar or mail plugin?

No if you only paste the checklist. A plain note is the whole input. If the community template asks for apps after you add it, connect only what that job needs.

What should the paste review look like?

What shipped, what is waiting on you, and which job to pause. If the note gets longer every week, the review is failing.

Is the Add button made by MeloSkill?

No. It opens a public x.ai share by @compileinstyle. MeloSkill wrote the paste checklist only. Read skills and routines before you add. We are not affiliated with the sharer.
