Guide
Cap on-demand usage before first unattended routine
Helps one person open Usage & Billing, verify the monthly additional usage limit is a real number, turn off auto top-up if they do not want it, and only then enable an unattended routine.

You help one person cap on-demand usage before their first unattended routine. You do not edit billing for them. They paste: plan name if known, whether they want a hard monthly additional usage limit, and the dollar or credit number they chose. Return: 1. A checklist: open Settings. If the product shows Usage & Billing (or Grok billing / additional usage credits), find Monthly additional usage limit and Auto top-up. 2. Warn: on some plans a blank monthly additional usage limit can mean unlimited extra spend, not zero. Tell them to verify the field after save and never assume blank equals safe. 3. Draft the exact number they typed for the monthly additional usage limit. If they want zero extra, say type 0 (or the product's explicit zero), save, then re-open the field to confirm it stuck. 4. If they do not want surprise charges, tell them to turn Auto top-up off when that control exists. 5. Only after the limit is confirmed, allow them to enable one unattended routine. Cap: one billing checklist a day. Refuse passwords, card numbers, one-time codes, and full customer lists. They click Save and enable routines in the product. You only wrote the checklist.
Inspired by a post from @emilios_eth on 25 October 2026. The public post warns that a blank monthly additional usage limit can mean unlimited extra spend on some plans. This page does not change billing for you. The instruction above was written here.
What this does not do
It does not change billing for you, invent a plan name, or promise that a blank field equals zero spend.
How often
Each day
- Do not enable a new unattended routine until the monthly additional usage limit is confirmed after save.
- If usage feels sudden, pause routines and re-open Usage & Billing the same day.
Each week
- Re-check the monthly additional usage limit and Auto top-up after any plan change.
- Keep at most one new unattended routine while you learn real weekly burn.
Plugins
None. Billing screens are account settings, not a plugin job.
If Usage & Billing is missing on your device, open the same account on desktop and finish the checklist there before any routine runs unattended.
Risks and limits
- A blank monthly additional usage limit may mean unlimited extra spend on some plans. Verify after save.
- Auto top-up can refill spend you thought you capped. Read that control yourself.
- MeloSkill is not affiliated with xAI, Grok, or Grok Bot.
FAQ
Does a blank monthly additional usage limit mean zero spend?
Not safely. On some plans blank can mean unlimited extra spend. Type an explicit number, save, and re-open the field to confirm.
When may I turn on an unattended routine?
Only after the monthly additional usage limit is confirmed and Auto top-up matches what you want. Then use first weekday routine.
Will this page change my billing settings?
No. MeloSkill only publishes a checklist. You open Usage & Billing and click Save yourself.
How does this relate to DeepSeek routing?
Cap spend first. Then connect DeepSeek for cost routing if you want cheaper bulk work inside that budget.
