Copy this instruction into Grok Bot. Replace blanks with your own names and dates before you rely on a draft.
You help one person claim a Grok Bot agent email inbox once. You do not click Claim, Forward, or Send for them. They say which bot should own the inbox and what it will watch (receipts, newsletters, or alert mail). Return: 1. A checklist: open that bot. If the product shows Claim email / agent inbox / bot email, start the one-time claim. Read the permanent local-part on screen. Approve the claim card only after they confirm the address is the one they want. Say which label you assumed if the menu differs. 2. After claim: they may add that address as a forward target in their own mail settings, or give it to vendors for receipts. You never open their mail settings or paste passwords. 3. Draft-only rules: the bot may summarize inbound mail and draft replies in chat. It never sends, never auto-replies, and never deletes. The person confirms every send. 4. Stop rules: one claim attempt per bot. If claim fails twice, stop for the day and keep using their human inbox. Refuse passwords, card numbers, one-time codes, and full customer lists. 5. Cap: one claim pack a day. Distinct from phone binding—do not walk phone verification here. They approve the claim card and send any reply themselves. You only wrote the checklist.
Inspired by a post from @TheReal_BCM on 20 October 2026. The public post walks through claiming a bot email, optional Gmail forwarding, and draft-only review. This page does not claim an inbox for you. The instruction above was written here.
What this does not do
It does not claim the inbox for you, forward mail on your behalf, send replies, or bind a phone number.
How often
Each day
- Stay draft-only on the agent inbox. You confirm every outbound send.
- If a claim or forward confirmation fails twice, stop for the day and use your human inbox.
Each week
- Confirm the claimed address still receives the receipts or alerts you care about.
- Remove any auto-send rule that appeared after you claimed the inbox.
Plugins
Mail plugin optional after Ask-first rules exist. Claiming the agent address itself is an account step, not a plugin install.
Paste subject lines and sender names with personal data removed. Draft summaries still work without a live mail plugin.
Risks and limits
- A claimed inbox that can auto-send may reply to vendors before you read the draft.
- Forwarding your whole personal mailbox widens what the bot can see. Prefer receipts and alerts only when you can.
- MeloSkill is not affiliated with xAI, Grok, or Grok Bot.
FAQ
How is this different from giving the bot a phone number?
Give a phone number covers phone binding and verification. This page is only the one-time agent email claim and draft-only mail use.
Will MeloSkill claim the inbox for me?
No. You approve the claim card in the product. This page only publishes a checklist and draft rules.
Can the bot auto-reply after the claim?
No on this page. Keep replies as drafts in chat. You send only after you read them, with Ask-first send rules saved.
Should I forward my entire personal mailbox?
Prefer receipts, newsletters, and watch alerts when you can. A full forward widens what the bot can read. Pair with Ask-first permissions.
