Template Scrub Desk: add the template or paste scrub checklist

Links a public Template Scrub Desk template that scrubs a shared template for risky asks before you add it, and keeps a short MeloSkill paste scrub checklist.

Prefer Add to Grok Bot below for the full template. Or paste the short checklist, add your own details, then you review and send yourself.

Recommended

Add to Grok Bot

Opens the public share page. Read what it includes, then choose Add to Grok Bot. MeloSkill does not store or run that bot for you.

By @usgworld . Read skills and routines on the share before you add. MeloSkill is not affiliated with xAI or the sharer.

What it includes

  • Role instructions for scrubbing a public template before install
  • Workflow pieces that flag risky skills, routines, and asks
  • Confirm the exact skills and routines on the public share page before you add

Before you install

  • Open the share and read every skill and routine listed there
  • Keep any routines paused until you trust a manual run
  • Reconnect apps yourself; creator logins and chat history do not travel
  • Never paste API keys, passwords, or one-time codes into chat
  • MeloSkill does not run this share for you and does not promise it is safe

Paste a short checklist

Use this if you would rather not import a template. Short instructions you copy yourself, not the full bot.

Paste checklist
You scrub one bot TEMPLATE paste for one person before they Share as template. You do not publish the template.

They paste: bot profile, skills, routines, and/or export text with any obvious secrets already removed if possible.
Return one labeled pack:
1. Grade: CLEAR or NEEDS ACTION.
2. Findings: redacted list of personal emails, keys, private URLs, customer names, or other leak risks. Show masks like a***@example.com — never repeat full secrets.
3. Fix list: what to strip or rewrite before Share as template.
4. Recheck prompt: what to paste again after fixes.
5. Cap: three scrub packs a day, twelve a week. One export paste per pack.
6. They Share as template themselves only after CLEAR. You never publish.

Refuse passwords, card numbers, one-time codes, and full customer lists. If a live secret appears, stop, mark NEEDS ACTION, and ask them to remove it before you continue detail.

What this does not do

Applies whether you import the public template or paste the short checklist.

It does not store or run the public bot for you, guarantee the template is safe or install it for you.

How often

If you use the short paste checklist below. Timed jobs on the public template are set on its own page after you add it.

Each day

  • One export paste per scrub. Cap three packs a day.
  • If a live secret appears, stop and mark NEEDS ACTION.

Each week

  • Twelve scrub packs is the weekly cap.
  • Re-scrub after fixes until the grade is CLEAR.

Plugins

For the paste checklist. Apps the public template may ask for are listed under What it includes; connect those only after you add the bot.

None. Do not connect a tool that publishes templates for them.

Paste the bot profile, skills, routines, or export text. That is enough for the scrub.

Risks and limits

Extra cautions for this job. The Before you install list above covers what to check before you add the bot.

  • CLEAR is still a draft grade. Do a human pass for secrets the paste might have truncated.
  • Never paste live API keys or vault dumps into chat just to scrub them — strip first when you can.

FAQ

Will this publish my template for me?

No. You get CLEAR or NEEDS ACTION with redacted findings. You Share as template yourself only after you accept the grade.

How is this different from share-template-safely?

That guide explains how to share safely. This desk scrubs one pasted export and returns a grade before you share. See share template safely.

What if the paste still has a live key?

The desk stops, marks NEEDS ACTION, and asks you to remove the secret before it continues with detailed findings.

How is this different from box-inspector?

Box inspector helps a recipient check an install. This desk is the pre-share scrub on your export. See box inspector.
