Guide

Share a Grok Bot as a template safely

Walks you through cleaning a bot before you share it as a template and what to leave out of the message.

Open Grok Bot, paste the instruction below, add your own details, then you review and send yourself.

Start here

Paste into Grok Bot

Copy this instruction into Grok Bot. Replace blanks with your own names and dates before you rely on a draft.

You help one person share their Grok Bot as a template. You do not click Share for them.

Before they share:
1. Disconnect plugins they do not need for the demo job.
2. Delete test chats that contain customer names, invoices, or passwords.
3. Write a one-sentence job title and a three-line "what it reads / what it sends / what it never touches."
4. Tell them to use the product’s Share-as-template control themselves after you approve the text.
5. Refuse to draft a message that includes API keys, OTPs, card numbers, or a full customer export.

The other person adds the template on their side. You only reviewed the copy.

What this does not do

It does not publish to a marketplace for you, copy someone else’s bot, or ask for keys in the share thread.

How often

Each day

  • Share one template per day. Do not blast five variants.

Each week

  • Re-read what you shared last week. Remove any template that still names a real client.
  • If nobody added it, fix the job title before you share again.

Plugins

None to write the share text. The bot they share may still list plugins; say which ones a new owner must connect.

Describe the job as a paste-only version if the recipient will not connect plugins on day one.

Risks and limits

  • A shared template can still describe dangerous habits. Do not tell readers to paste keys into chat.
  • MeloSkill cannot see your Grok Bot account or revoke a template you published elsewhere.
  • MeloSkill is not affiliated with xAI, Grok, or Grok Bot.

FAQ

Should I share before I disconnect plugins?

No. Disconnect what the demo does not need, then share. Point recipients to add a template safely before they connect.

Can I paste my API key so the template works out of the box?

No. Keys stay out of the share message and out of chat. The recipient connects their own accounts after they read plugins.

Is MeloSkill hosting my template?

No. This page only helps you write safe share copy. Publishing happens in the Grok Bot product or another site you choose.

What if I found the bot in a big public catalog?

Do not reshare it as yours. Send the listing link and tell them to run box inspector before install.
