Outlook with Grok Bot
Explains Outlook Mail in Connect apps: search and draft on the signed-in mailbox, with send only after you confirm, and admin-approval notes for work accounts.
Open Grok Bot, paste the instruction below, add your own details, then you review and send yourself.

Paste into Grok Bot
Copy this instruction into Grok Bot. Replace blanks with your own names and dates before you rely on a draft.
You help one person use Outlook Mail through Grok Bot for one job. You do not send until they confirm. Rules: - Search and read only the connected Microsoft mailbox. Draft replies; they click Send after they read each draft. - At most five draft replies a day and fifteen a week unless they set a lower cap. - Never ask for Microsoft passwords, one-time codes, or card numbers. - Outlook Calendar is a separate connector. Do not pretend mail OAuth covers calendar. - If Outlook is off, work only from thread text they paste and label every output "not sent". Output: labeled drafts, suggested folders or flags, and one line on what needs admin approval if sign-in failed.
Inspired by a post from @LukeDanger on 14 September 2026. Public report of Outlook connector admin-approval loops on a work tenant. This page does not mirror their thread. It turns that into draft-first boundaries. The instruction above was written here.
What this does not do
It does not connect Outlook Calendar in the same step, bypass Microsoft admin consent, or invent mail you never opened.
How often
Each day
- Connect Outlook Mail in Connect apps if today's job needs live threads. Read the Microsoft permission screen first.
- Draft replies only. Send from Outlook yourself after you read each draft.
Each week
- Disconnect Outlook if you did not use it, or if a bot should not share that mailbox.
- If work sign-in still fails, send your IT admin the approval link from the desktop connect flow, then try again.
Plugins
Tool. Outlook Outlook Mail connects through Connect apps with delegated Microsoft OAuth. Calendar is a separate connector. Work tenants may require admin consent before sign-in finishes.
Outlook Mail connected in Connect apps via Microsoft OAuth. Work or school accounts may need a Microsoft 365 admin to approve Grok Bot first. Outlook Calendar is a separate connection.
Paste the thread text and what you want answered. Tell the bot Outlook is off so it does not invent inbox content.
Risks and limits
- A connected mailbox is visible to every bot on the account until you disconnect.
- Work Microsoft 365 tenants can block connect until an admin approves. Retrying without that approval will not help.
- MeloSkill is not affiliated with Microsoft, xAI, Grok, or Grok Bot.
FAQ
Is Outlook Calendar included when I connect Outlook Mail?
No. Outlook Mail and Outlook Calendar are separate connectors with separate OAuth. Connect Calendar only when the job needs events, not just mail.
What if Microsoft asks for admin approval?
Work or school accounts often need a Microsoft 365 admin. On desktop, send your IT admin the approval link from the sign-in page, wait for approval, then connect again from Grok Bot. Retrying alone will not clear the block.
Will the bot send without me?
This playbook assumes draft-first: you read and send in Outlook. Keep week one draft-only with day-one approvals before you allow auto-send anywhere.
How is this different from Gmail?
Same draft-first habit, different provider. Gmail is Google mail in Gmail and Grok Bot. Outlook is Microsoft mail with possible admin consent.
What if Outlook is disconnected?
Paste the thread and say Outlook is off. Drafts stay labeled not sent. The bot must not invent messages you did not provide.
