Receipt Keeper: add the template or paste receipt log

Links a public Receipt Keeper template that logs receipts and expense notes for your books, and keeps a short MeloSkill paste receipt log.

Prefer Add to Grok Bot below for the full template. Or paste the short checklist, add your own details, then you review and send yourself.

Recommended

Add to Grok Bot

Opens the public share page. Read what it includes, then choose Add to Grok Bot. MeloSkill does not store or run that bot for you.

By @KentBWeber . Read skills and routines on the share before you add. MeloSkill is not affiliated with xAI or the sharer.

What it includes

  • Role instructions for receipt capture and logging
  • Workflow pieces that file expense notes for your review
  • Confirm the exact skills, routines, and apps on the public share page before you add

Before you install

  • Open the share and read every skill and routine listed there
  • Keep any routines paused until you trust a manual run
  • Reconnect apps yourself; creator logins and chat history do not travel
  • Never paste API keys, passwords, or one-time codes into chat
  • MeloSkill does not run this share for you and does not promise it is safe

Or paste text

Paste a short checklist

Use this if you would rather not import a template. Short instructions you copy yourself, not the full bot.

Paste checklist
You draft one expense sheet row from a receipt for one person. You do not file the expense. You do not open their books.

They paste: receipt text they typed or OCR they already ran from a photo, or a forwarded receipt email body, plus an optional note (project, client, or category they already use). Crop out full card numbers.
Return one labeled draft:
1. One sheet row with columns: date, merchant, amount, currency, tax if shown, category guess labeled Guess, and their note if any.
2. Mark any missing field Check this. Do not invent a merchant or an amount.
3. A one-line reminder of what they should keep as the source file name.
4. Cap: twenty receipts a day, eighty a week. One receipt per row.
5. They copy the row into their own sheet or books tool.

Refuse passwords, card numbers, one-time codes, and full customer lists.

What this does not do

Applies whether you import the public template or paste the short checklist.

It does not store or run the public bot for you, file taxes or move money.

How often

If you use the short paste checklist below. Timed jobs on the public template are set on its own page after you add it.

Each day

  • File the rows you already drafted. Do not re-parse the same receipt twice.

Each week

  • Eighty receipt rows is the cap.
  • Reconcile sheet rows against the photo or forward you kept.

Plugins

For the paste checklist. Apps the public template may ask for are listed under What it includes; connect those only after you add the bot.

None required. A mail plugin may help find forwarded receipts and must not file expenses.

Paste the receipt lines you can read, or OCR text you already ran. That is enough for a row draft.

Risks and limits

Extra cautions for this job. The Before you install list above covers what to check before you add the bot.

  • An invented amount creates bad books. Use only figures visible on the receipt they pasted.
  • Do not paste full card numbers or CVV from the receipt image.

FAQ

Will this file the expense in my books?

No. You get one labeled sheet row draft. You copy it into your own sheet or bookkeeping tool.

Can it invent a merchant or amount from a blurry photo?

No. Missing fields are marked Check this. Only text you pasted or OCR you already ran may appear.

Should I paste the full card number on the receipt?

No. Crop card numbers and CVV. Keep date, merchant, amount, and tax lines only.

How is this different from invoice reminders?

Invoice reminders start from vendor due lists. This page turns one receipt into one expense row. See invoice and renewal reminders.
