Pixel Art Creator
Brandon Williams’s construction file for a blank Aseprite canvas. It creates the sprite, layers, and primitives (pixels, lines, fills). Use it to start. It does not animate, dither, or export, and it does not work without the Aseprite MCP server.

Pixel Art Animator
The animation chapter of the same Aseprite set: frames, tags, durations, linked cels. Use it after a canvas exists. It will not draw the first sprite, and it is not the Python/Pillow file.

Pixel Art Studio
A Pillow studio from Gamezxz. Every pixel is placed in a rebuildable Python script; no MCP server. Use it when you do not have Aseprite, or when you want artwork you can re-run and commit. It is not the Aseprite construction sequence.

FAQ
Which skill should I install first?
If you already run Aseprite with its MCP server, start with pixel-art-creator for a new sprite. Use pixel-art-studio when you want the agent to place pixels in Python, with no Aseprite. Animation, polish, and export in the Aseprite set are separate files on this list.
Is this a replacement for an MCP server?
No. The four Aseprite files on this list are instructions that call Aseprite through MCP. Enabling that server is a separate decision in the agent — see how to install. pixel-art-studio does not use MCP; it ships Python scripts and needs Pillow.
Where is canvas-design?
canvas-design is in the index for posters and static PNG/PDF art, not sprites on a pixel grid. algorithmic-art is p5.js generative work. Open those listings if that is the job; they are not this comparison.
